Watchguard unveiled the WatchGuard XTM 2050, a next-generation firewall that provides enterprise-class security for large enterprises and data centers requiring high-performance firewall, application control and intrusion prevention systems to protect against data theft, malware and security breaches.

Among other things, the new appliance contains a 20-Gbps firewall, redundant hot-swap power supplies, fans, storage and NICs; high availability; WAN and VPN failover; application control for more than 1,800 applications; integration with Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS andothers for user-based firewalling; SSL remote user VPN; and WatchGuard System Manager full management, complete with reporting, monitoring and logging capabilities.
